GRIEF IS IN THE ROOM

Where grief literacy meets leadership and culture care

Loss doesn’t wait for convenient moments. It enters meetings, deadlines, and inboxes quietly, shaping performance, presence, decision-making, and connection.

Supporting people through grief and trauma is not simply compassionate leadership. It is culture work.

This offering supports organisations to acknowledge grief honestly, respond with care, and create wiser, more humane workplaces where people are not asked to leave their lived experiences at the door.

Holding Grief at Work

A facilitated group experience for organisations

Grief is a workplace issue and its impact is often underestimated.

Grief is not only about death. In organisational life, it also shows up through identity shifts, burnout, restructures, redundancies, estranged relationships, lost dreams, and the quieter accumulations of disappointment and change. When grief goes unacknowledged, it does not disappear. It disrupts.

Holding Grief at Work is a one-day, facilitated group experience that gently but powerfully explores loss in both professional and personal contexts. The work blends grief literacy with reflective, trauma-informed coaching practices, creating a spacious and psychologically safe environment for learning, reflection, and integration.

Although delivered in a group setting, the work is inward-facing and respects individual privacy. Exercises are designed to support personal insight rather than public disclosure.

What participants often leave with

  • A clearer understanding of what grief is. and what it is not

  • Insight into the many ways grief manifests at work and in life

  • Practical tools for navigating personal grief with greater care and sustainability

  • Increased confidence in supporting grieving colleagues with compassion and boundaries

  • A shared language for grief that strengthens culture, trust, and psychological safety
